Nathan Reinhold was born in Madison, Wisconsin in 1975. He earned a BFA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1997, a MFA in Painting and a Master in Art Teaching from the University of the Arts. His art interests include the sensuous materiality of art and the effects of context in the making and viewing of art. Portability of the artwork, materials, and tools of production are essential to his practice. He explores art production through the interactions between artist, materials, and environment. The art object must be allowed to change, showing the subtle evidence of time. He currently lives in Philadelphia with his wife and child.
