Fine artist and illustrator,Desiree Sterbini creates her award winning portraits in oil pastels and colored pencils on paper, board and canvas. Women of color, children and the simple lives of ordinary people are her primary subjects. Her sensitive compositions are vibrant with color and detailed with strokes created by stumps of rolled paper. Desiree received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and continues to study through workshops and studio classes. Her oil pastel paintings have been exhibited throughout the DC metro area including Edison Place Gallery, L'Eclat de Verr Gallery, Touchstone Gallery,Galerie Myrtis and the Strathmore Mansion. The artist's talents are commissioned and her originals and giclee prints are held in numerous private collections.
