I am an artist living in Holyoke, Massachusetts, with a studio at the Indian Orchard Mills in Springfield, MA. My main areas of specialization are abstract paintings and works on paper. Inspirations come from psychological states of being, spiritual sources such as specific writings, music, and nature, as well as from visualizing the intersections of science, art, and religion.
I have been a working artist since 1972 and have also taught college level and community art courses over the last 30+ years. Currently, I am the Gallery Curator for the Western New England College art gallery and teach several art courses there as well. Since the 1970’s my work has been exhibited and collected in the Southeast and from the late 1980’s in the Northeast and Canada. I received my BFA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and my MFA from the College of Art & Architecture at Clemson University in South Carolina.
