Born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit Pauline has been living in Florida for over 39 years. Published in 3 Sulky of America books on quilting she won the 1993 Hoffmann Challenge Judges and Critics Award for a controversial quilt “The Smithsonian Phantom”. She, also, had quilts in Benartex, P & B Textile, and Tactile Architecture traveling exhibits. Pauline’s 2002 winning quilt in the Benartex Challenge … Russian Icon Meets American Quilter was to be presented to Prime Minister Putin during the festivities of the birthday’s of St. Petersburg, Russia and St. Petersburg, Florida. Unfortunately, we went to war and that did not happen. She, also, has quilts that are in the Holocaust Museum, a St. Petersburg Courthouse, Heritage Park and St. Petersburg College .

Pauline teaches machine appliqué, free hand quilting and fusible appliqué classes. Using a few stitching method she credits learning her techniques from those who have gone before her. Learning and adapting ideas to make them easier. “I always learn something when I take a class. Somebody, always knows something I don’t or they have a problem that makes me think. They expand my horizons. It is important for me to keep learning and hopefully get better at what I love to do.”
