I have always worked with abstract shapes/forms in observation of the world around me. In my work, I combine hardedge and color field techniques with digital editing to investigate the language of geometric abstraction. Along with my studio practice, I have been a Professor of Art at Washington & Jefferson College for over 15 years. I have exhibited my work mostly in America including LA, NYC, Washington, DC, and Kansas City, as well as in Siena, Florence, and Cosenza, Italy. During summer 2019, I was invited to participate in the artist residency hosted by BOCS (Box of Contemporary Space) in Cosenza, Italy. At the conclusion of my stay, several pieces became part of the BOCS Museum permanent collection and will be on display starting in September 2019. Additionally, my work is in several collections throughout the US. I am represented by the Todd Weiner Gallery in Kansas City, MO. I live in Pittsburgh, PA with my wife and our dog, Moneypenny. I enjoy traveling, cooking, new music, yoga, and occasionally playing my cello.
