As an artist I have had many shows in the United States. I received a scholarship to one of the premier art schools on the west coast the California Collage of Arts and Crafts. My training their focused on large figurative works. It was during this time that I left to become part of the Civil Rights movement. I traveled through the south concluding my work in the movement with the march on Washington having the honour to be present during the historical"I Have a Dream"speech.I returned to California and continued to paint and entered many juried exibitions. In the late 1970's I assumed the position of Deputy Director for an Arts Resource Center and was instrumental in providing grants for the 1984 Olympics Mural Project in Los Angeles California. After a successful tenure as an Arts administrator I returned to painting full-time.My last one man show in Seattle Washington was well received and set a new president for Afro-American Figurative Art.
