Ricardo Morales Hendry a native of Cartagena, Colombia, obtained both his BFA and MFA degrees at New York’s Pratt Institue. Although he worked some years in the Graphic Design and Illustration fields, his true passion has been that of painting in all its facets. He dedicates much of his time to portraying horses and pets. This came about while residing in England, where he became familiar with the masterful portraits by 17th and 18th century equine painters such as Alken, Stubbs and Herring. He also paints wild life and has a special and keen attraction to landscape art and textures formed by nature, which he likes to interpret on large canvases.
