Roman Arevalo is an artist originally from south Florida. His recent work explores the act of mark making with sculptural concerns that follow a dialectical view of space and gesture. In 2012, he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). Arevalo has also co-curated the annual Young Blood exhibitions of 2009 and 2010 in Miami, Florida. Recently, he was an artist in residence at the Contemporary Artists Center at Woodside, Troy, New York. His paintings have been exhibited and collected nationally including Miami, Baltimore, and New York.
