Rosemary Cotnoir

I am a landscape and abstract painter. I work in a variety of mediums. My body of work is in oil and acrylic and I am currently experimenting with patterns and movement. I use forms that are derived from nature and classical motifs, i.e. branching, spirals, lines, dots, waves, and symbols.

I am influenced by Helen Frankenthaler and Gustav Klimt.

I attended the New York/Phoenix School of Design, New York, NY, studied life drawing and watercolor at the Silvermine Artists Guild, Norwalk, CT and a painting course at Yale University in New Haven, CT. I also studied stone carving at the Guilford Art Center with Darrell Petit and Andrew Davis. I studied interior design at The New York School of Interior Design, New York, NY.
