Ron Saunders is a multi-disciplinary artist who works in both traditional and experimental media. Ultimately, he enjoys the tension and play found in the theoretical aspects of contemporary art, the creation and realization of an object, and the contemplation and challenge that the natural environment and daily life gives him. Notable solos include Latent Cartographies at 171 Cedar Arts Center in Corning, NY, Mobile Food at Door Gallery, Seoul, South Korea, MESH!!! at Gallery Jung Mi So, and Residual Detritus at Treehouse Gallery, Los Angeles, CA; notable group shows include Mitä Meri at the Rauma Biennale Balticum, Rauma, Finland, In Place at the Namsangol Hanok Village Seoul, South Korea, Art Obituaries at the M.W. Offit Gallery, Columbia University, NYC and DPI (Digitally Propelled Ideas) 2004 at the Kellogg University Art Gallery California State University in Pomona. He was invited to participate in the KunstDoc Residency in Seoul, South Korea in 2006 as well as the Raumars Artist in Residence Programme in Rauma, Finland in 2010. He is currently represented by Exhibit A in Corning, NY.
