Since I was born I've found my way onto the backs of horses, manning my own steed by the time I was five years old. If I wasn't tracing books with horses in them I was using any high spot on our property to scale the legs of our foundation bred quarter horses. My dad's passion was as a cattleman which took our family through many large ranches in the Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Texas regions during my childhood. I was born in Arizona but spent most of my time between southwestern Colorado and far west Texas.

I spent many years watching my grandma and grandpa work in their saddle shop when I spent summers in Mancos, Colorado but my interest was always in horses and I worked toward becoming a veterinarian. That passion for the internal workings of animals took me to Colorado State University where I majored in Equine Science with an intent on becoming a DVM. I was a sophomore in college before I realized I needed a change and chose to follow my visual voice. I graduated from Colorado State University in 2010 with a bachelors in Fine Art with a concentration in sculpture.

I met the most important man of my life while spending time in Cortez, Colorado and we soon married and settled down to make our home here. We have two children and frequently spend our free time in the mountains cutting wood, hunting, and fishing.
