Sara Caporaletti was born in Damascus, Maryland in 1992. She lives in Maryland and works in Washington DC. Caporaletti received her BA from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland in studio art. She is a 2016 MFA graduate from American University in Washington DC. She has participated in the American University Studio MFA Berlin residency with GlogauAIR studios in Berlin, Germany. Her work has been included in group exhibitions at locations including the Rice Gallery (Westminster, MD), Yorkarts (York, PA), Katzen Arts Center and Museum (Washington DC), and VisArts (Rockville, MD). Caporaletti is an interdisciplinary artist exploring various autobiographical elements.
