Scott Woodward Meyers

Scott Woodward Meyers (American, b. 1959) studied photography and printmaking at the University of Washington, School of Art In Seattle. After university, he began travelling internationally, including the South Pacific, Middle East and eventually settling in Europe. He has lived and worked in Switzerland most of this professional life. Photographic fragments, like visual haiku, describe momentary natural and urban impressions, while his large format minimal acrylic canvases evoke spaces and enigmatic intervals of time. 'I would like to convey my fascination in the balance of all types of relationships as well as engage the viewer in questioning cultural views, rituals and frameworks.'

Meyers' work has often been acquired in series or commissioned, it is represented in corporate collections in Europe and private collections worldwide. In 2016 he returned to the USA and is currently working from Los Angeles and the West Coast.
