Silvia Ros

Silvia Ros is a Cuban-American, Miami-based photographer with a master’s degree in architecture. After over a decade as a museum photographer, she launched a busy freelance career, concentrating not only on her own creative projects such as Photographing Cuba: My Myth, My Reality; Cuba Modern; Post 67, and Concrete Miami, but serving as the official Art Basel Miami Beach photographer for five years, and with clients including Ford, Artsy and Instagram. In 2014 the Smithsonian National Museum of American History acquired 86 of her photographs documenting the LGBTQ movement in the United States. She has been awarded two Knight Foundation Miami Arts Challenge grants, two Oolite Arts Creator Awards and four State of Florida Cultural Affairs grants. MIA Galleries Cameraworks is exhibiting her second solo exhibition, Connecting Concrete: Modernist Architecture from Havana to Miami in the spring of 2024.
