Jill Basham is an award winning plein air and studio landscape oil painter. Born in Washington, DC into a family rich with artists. Presently Jill lives on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, "Chesapeake Country", and is inspired by her local surroundings. Jill recently won the Grand Prize for the St. Michaels Plein Air competiton (2011), First Place in the Plein air Painters of the Eastern Shore competition and second place for an exhibit of plein air paintings through the St. Michaels Art League. She is represented by Wagner Witte Gallery in Easton, MD. Jill has had a solo show as well as been juried into shows and exhibitions. Memberships include OPA and Mid Atlantic Plein Air Painters. She is the Vice President of the Working Artists Forum (mid-shore) juried membership group.
