Sherryl Buchler

I am a fiber and textile artist who loves to work with color. Color rules my world whether it is full in your face color, muted shades, or just the simple use of black and white. The emotional spectrum it creates allows one to connect to the art at a basic level. The use of different fibers gives an added dimension and tactile quality to my work. I dye many of my own fabrics and use collage and applique? type formats, incorporating mixed media techniques for my pieces. Both hand and machine quilting adds interest.

My education, starting with a specialty in Color Perception, and expanding to Interior Design, has provided me the opportunity to design using color and line to portray my ideas.
