ARTIST STATEMENT:
Art to me is a pure form of communication where I find meaning in using colors and symbolism to express feelings. My contemporary art evokes landscapes, sunsets and seascapes in an abstract form by using mixed media and are influenced by impressionist techniques. In my paintings I avoid a literal image in favor of expressive composition with color, texture and layering. I want the viewer to enter the painting and come back stimulated by the marginal space between the depiction of nature and abstract imagery.
