Suzanne Stroebe was born in San Francisco and currently lives and works in Mill Valley, California. She received her BA in Fine Arts from UC Santa Cruz in 2004, and her MFA in Fine Arts from Parsons the New School for Design in 2009.
Stroebe is an interdisciplinary artist; her work includes drawing, sculpture, installation, and performance. She works individually and in collaboration with other artists.
Stroebe’s work has been exhibited in galleries, museums, and alternative spaces in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Baltimore, and the San Francisco Bay Area. She was awarded the Ellen Hoffman Memorial Fellowship at SOHO20 Gallery in New York City, and will have a solo exhibition there in early 2013.
Stroebe’s work has been written about in The Huffington Post, The L Magazine, Art Info, and Art Critical among other publications.
