Sue Averell

Sue Averell was born in Ohio in 1957. In 1962 her family moved west to California. When Sue wasn’t enjoying the beautiful beaches she spent her spare time drawing anything and everything she found inspiring.
After attending the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA Sue worked in graphics. Averell eventually moved north to San Francisco where she opened a graphic design and illustration business. Between contracts Sue spent her time working on her fine art skills; searching for her unique painting voice.
In the mid 90’s Sue’s style began to emerge and in 2001 her urban landscape series was picked up by North Beach Gallery, San Francisco. Sue’s gallery representation has continued to grow.
