I was born and grew up in Dayton, Ohio, and now I live and work in New York City. My work has always been inspired by my past, growing up in Ohio, but as my children get older, much of the content of my work has been focusing on the future-the tension between nature and technology, and the idea of what kind of world they will be living in as the environment we live in changes and becomes more stressed. My work has been shown at galleries and museums including Photology Gallery in Milan, Mixed Greens Gallery, Neuberger Museum of Art, Musee International des Arts Modestes, Sete, France, the Tucson Museum of Art and a one-person show and residency at the Lux Art Institute in southern California. I have received support and grants from organizations such as the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, The Sustainable Arts Foundation, Guttenberg Arts in New Jersey, Smack Mellon Artist Residency in Brooklyn, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Ruth Chenven Foundation, and the New York Foundation for the Arts. Recently, I completed a commissioned public work for an elevator lobby in the Johns Hopkins Hospital’s new medical facility in Baltimore, Maryland.
