Tamara Garvey

I live in Savannah, Georgia with my awesome dog. I love ink, animals, corduroy pants, Edward Gorey, lattes with skim milk, pen nibs, South Park, air-conditioning, England, the movie "Auntie Mame," and reading.

I draw almost always in pen and ink, because I love having ink-stained fingers! Sometimes I plan my drawings out with sketches and plans and schemes, but other times I just pour some ink all over the place and then add details, little characters, and text with my old-fashioned nib pen.

I went to Savannah College of Art and Design and got a degree in Illustration. Before that I got a B.S. in Biology from Mary Washington College. I don't use the biology too much in my day-to-day life, but it's there. Lurking.
