I'm Te (artist name Temo), a 1.5-generation Chinese American surrealist and portrait artist, cartoonist, and psychotherapist based in Chicago, IL. As an artist, I am partly classically trained and partly self-taught. I also have extensive training in long-form improvisation and psychoanalytic psychotherapy, both of which shape my artistic approach and give my art a dream-like and whimsical quality. I speak four languages and have previously studied and/or worked in China, France, and Japan. It would be my great honor to contribute to the Art in Embassies' work in cultural diplomacy.
