Tricia Wright was born in England to an English/Irish family. She received her education at the University of the Arts London (Camberwell School of Art, Fine Art (Hons.) and Chelsea School of Art, History & Theory of Modern Art) before relocating to New York in 1999. She maintains an active, highly committed studio practice, and her works are in museum, corporate, and private collections in the UK and the US.
Tricia also works as a Museum Educator, at Judd Foundation in Manhattan, NY, and at DIA Art Foundation in Beacon, NY. She is an experienced museum professional, having worked as a specialist art guide, tour designer, and guide team manager at two National Trust sites: Lyndhurst, NY, and the iconic Philip Johnson Glass House in New Canaan, CT. Tricia is also an independent private art guide, creating specialized tours of contemporary exhibitions and permanent collections in New York City museums and galleries.
Tricia has a background in art writing, editing, and editorial consulting. Her most recent solo publication, American Art & Artists (2007) was published by Harper Collins in association with the Smithsonian Institute.
